Suzanne McComas-Honea and Joseph Honea are a team in all aspects of their lives.

Born and raised in the Kansas City area, Joseph Honea is a combination of strength, character, and success rarely seen in someone with his background. Growing up he had a horrific childhood, and channeled that experience into anger and rage on the streets, ending up in prison doing hard time for a homicide only months after his 18th birthday.

In 2000 he made the decision to turn his life around, recovered from his addictions, entered intensive therapy to face his demons, and emerged a role model for the other inmates who hadn't made the necessary changes yet in their own lives.

For the last 8 years, he held elder status in the therapeutic wing of a maximum security prison, witnessing and supporting other men who made the choice to come to that unit voluntarily and enter the program to cure their addictions, explore their issues, and become their full potential before being released back into society.

Now he has dedicated his life to helping others facing addiction and abuse issues, as well as mentoring juvenile offenders who are in the same position he once was to prevent them going down the same path.

Suzanne is one of those women everyone always wonders about what she’ll do next! She works in the cities all over the U.S., and comes home to Missouri. Her private investigation career for the past 18 years led her to work cases at local, state, and federal levels, including testifying in front of the House Judiciary Committee regarding civil rights violations. She is very driven and powerful for her clients, and will do whatever it takes to get justice for them.

Suzanne’s inmate seminars come straight from the heart, and her belief in redemption. In 2008 that ability to forgive and give someone a second chance became extremely personal, as her book “I Still Dream Out” details with brutal honesty. She is also the author of "HALFWAY TO SOMEWHERE", being open about healing from childhood abuse through faith and strength.

She lives her life by the Golden Rule, and applies her spirituality to all aspects of her personal and professional decisions.

Suzanne and Joe are a powerful couple blessed by their Creator, and take the view they are to give it back by helping others who come into their paths.
